Love in Korea

The K pop thingy is getting to me. Why ? Cause i totally love those Korea girls and their personalities. More about that later. In the korean variety "We got married", celebrities live together for a few months in a make-believe marriage. Although some parts are scripted with objectives, the conversations between these couples are actually very real and honest. I am particularly fond of the couple hyun joong and hwangbo, the woman, hwangbo, is 6 years older than the pretty boy hyun joong. They have unbelievable chemistry cos' the guy is freaking hilarious with his dead-serious expression when he tells a joke. On the other hand, the girl always ALWAYS ROFL when he cracks one. haha, i smile to myself just trying to recall those scenes.

As for what appeals to me about korean girls is that their culture puts their family ahead above all else. They are particularly respectful to their seniors/elders. They use honorific terms to address their elders and seniors. Furthermore, a female idol can even drop her pride as a singer and put on an apron to cook for her "spouse". By watching a few episodes and studying the man-woman relationships, I observed that Koreans have a very conservative and traditional view of women and men's role. Not wanting to sound like a MCP, but i find that pleasing. A wife always attends to the family first. Isn't that something admirable? okok, last reason is that Korean girls are also ridiculously pretty because plastic surgery there is cheap. But who cares, isn't it better than being fake on the inside? Well, that's just a food for thought. I will read this post a few years later and see how it goes.

We got married !
