ok, a long time since i updated cos a lot has happened. in one week, i did my grenade, range, ippt and got back my
A level results. the hardest week of my life has passed by i think and i'm so glad. now, life in bmt has never been so slack. i spent more time in the bunk sleeping/ reading books than training. the sergenets are basically treating us better since we're about to POP. i kinda miss some of my platoon mates as they've been v. fun to hang ard with. POP in 2 weeks time, it'll be a proud day for me as i've not only survived BMT but learnt to enjoy it. can't believed i said i enjoyed it. but , thinking back about the q that whether army will make me mature. i think i have more or less matured a little. i apprecitate the things around me more, be it people or electicity.
ahem, another update, i passed the pilot interview test last week and they handed me a provisional contract. i signed it since i still can void it by next thurs. being a pilot, tat's something that never crossed my mind. But hey, being a pilot is so damn cool manz, remindS me of Tom cruise in "topgun", not saying i'm like him though ! finanically, i've no worries if i'm a pilot. it's just the long training overseas that bothers me. 10 months in aust ? followed by maybe a 11 months in france ? oh gosh man, it's like forever. i hate to live overseas after the Hong kong experience. Home is always better. Well, i'm not definitely becoming a pilot, it'll have to depend on my performance in BMT and air grading.
Today was my book out day and i went to NUS with wenqing, ask ard about engineering and business. still deciding .... sigh life time career. not an easy choice. at least i've the chance to change course again next year. after that we ate cheese prata near NUS and went to suntec IT fair. i wanted badly to buy the X box promotion thingy but in the end, i got myself a CASIO EXILIM ! it's so damn cool i loved it. wq is still pondering. she told me about exilim in the first place and she's still pondering. wat else can i say , she always cannot make up her mind.
Life is so enriching nowadays, everyday is jammed packed with activities.
major of air force asked me " wat kind of qualities do u think a pilot should have ? "
i said stupidly " leadership , professionalism ......"
then i suddenly realised i was sort of reciting the SAF seven core values
being quick witted ( :p) i said "and and ... ahem ... passion for the sky !"
at that point i wanted to burst out laughing but ahem never mind.
just an incident to share
