METAL GEAR SOLID

I've spent the last few days working ( playin actually ) on the biggest game of the year other than grand theft auto. ok. Metal gear solid trilogy is going to be the greatest game series ever. Again it's not just a normal gun n run game. every single series is filled with us conspiracies.

M-memory

In the first mgs, we play solid snake. the supposed son of the big boss. snake is a genome solider who got the genes of ww legend big boss. he has his looks skills abilities ..etc. the theme of the game was all about genetic engineering , precisely the time dolly the sheep was cloned the game was out. In the end of the game ( the shadow moses incident ) , it turned out that solid snake have other clone "brothers" as well. like liquid snake.

G-gene

Then in the second mgs, we play Raven. a child trained since young to kill. In this series, we learned that actually the world is controlled by 12 ppl. they are called "the patriots". they are also nicknamed the wiseman committee. they control the digital information, the internet , the media, the textbooks we read, the "facts" we see. They are even responsible for staging wars like the iraq war in the 90s, creating conflicts between nations. all this just to manipulate the whole world to their own ideals. Actually , the patriots are nothing new. A lot of conpiracy theories in US are linked to the patriots. Just like the death of J F kennedy. some say he was assassinated by the patriots cos he didn't follow wat they ordered him to do. The creator of mgs, hideo kojima, did a lot of research for his game.

S-scene.

The latest and final chapter. In this story, we go back to the 60s to play the legend Big boss. And, hideo kojima brings up yet another conspiracy theory. In the game, it was revealed that after the world war, china , soviet and us gathered a huge sum of money. some of the money was used to compensate losses, the rest were collected and distributed throughout the world in banks. This sum of money was called the philosphers legacy. Becos of greed, the money was not distributed evenly amongts the three countries. thereby, US and soviet started the cold war.

All these conspiracy theories are damn interesting . i'm hooked on to it and have been surfing non stop for it. so tats' it manz

i think i'm one of the last ppl in the world to have broadband becos i think all the excess speed is not necessary as i'm in camp. but wat the hell. my bills are getting ex day by day so might as well get unlimited accses.

Today was my pop. my parents and wenqing went to watch. my first pop. bmt one was cancelled due to CAT 1. sispec bslc wasn't really a pop. today it was memorable.

ok 2 long weekends. time to settle down a bit. oh did i tell u, i bought gameboy advance and final fantasy tactics. yay, feels like i join the primary school kids gang. actually , i can see a lot of kids grinning with envy as i purchase that gameboy at the gameshop near my place. bet they wish to be me. not.

catching up with lots of sleep ! slept 11 hours today. last week for the weekend, i slept almost 11 hours on saturday on sunday also.

BACK FROM TAIWAN

ok, the three weeks is finally over. after all the shit i went through in roc, i think i truly earned by 3 strip. it's coming to me in 3 weeks time. 3 months of tough training in sispec and 21 weeks of shit that i went through in SOA change my opinion of being a specialist. an a.i. sergent truly earn his rank.

When i arrive in taiwan at cks international airport, there wasn't time for us to rest. immediately, we boarded the coach to our camp. then began the admin stuff we've to do. take out stores, take over vehicles, prepare standard field back, stand by area. It was truly demoralising as some of us can't even call back home. the second day it was outfield outfield and outfield. the weather there began hot. around end of september, typhoon made a sharp turn about roc but we still manage to get the rain. temperature drop to as low as 16 degrees when we're doing our navi.

Memorable things that happen during our training n RNR includes:

• our 10 times (could be more ) dismounting the BX cos sergent was not satisfield with our fire movment.
• the 3 days 2 nights of washing vehicle cos tech squad was not satisified.
• the missing of the $1700 plus top ranch ( in the end some asshole took it by mistake).
• our GPMG, night vision device and periscope being taken away from our vehicle at night due to unorganised sentry duties.
• foot rot-s.
• bin lang mei (hot chicks ) we've seen when convoying.
• tasty taiwan dishes in camp.
• porn. condom.
• running into farm animals during our navi hiking
• seeing the scenary on top of plateaus and hills.
• jinyuan collapsing
• misfirings
• sleeping in a haunted tower
• end-of-frame dinner
• crazy amusement park rides
• safari tour
• nights out at simen ding. the city life
• the ROC military police's arms drill for guard mounting at chuang lei shi
• nights out at shi lin ye shi ( shilin night market), a place filled with road-side food, clothings , shoes (basically anything with fashion) . Imagine heeren on the streets. it's very big , we spent 2 days shopping there. When i'm choosing clothings for u-know-who , all the shop assistants give me "the-look". so tat's memorable 2.
• taiwan 101. yes the tallest building in the world
• eating pork burger for breakfast at Macs.
• searching the whole damn city for money exchanger
• eating famous dishes ( ah zhong mian xian, ma la steamboat, ... etc)
• shopping marathons ( did i just say that)

yap basically the can kind of sum up wat happen. i didn't bring my camera but jinyuan took lots of pics of us n taiwan with his nikkon pro camera. ( he's mad about photography.) will post pics next time then.

ok here's what happen. 2 weeks ago while i'm having my field camp, i woke up with a sharp headache. it's nothing that i've experienced b4. then there was the LUMP. i thought i must have hit the vehicle with my head while i was sleeping. then there was 2 more lump, then one more. i vistited the mo last week told him my condition. first thing he ask me

"Does anyone in your family have cancer?"

"yes, grandmother throat cancer. auntie died of liver cancer. another one dunno what cancer but still alive"

"ok i'll refer u to an ENT specialist after ur ROC"

kaoz, seeing that the lump could mean something, i book out to have an appointment with SGH ENT specialist myself instead. Again, they ask me the family history thing. told me the lump are lymph nodes could mean that i've a infection somewhere or cancer or leukimia ( dunno how to spell), or TB. They can't tell me anything until one week from now. i'm going ROC thurs morning. tat's it. if i die there blame the system for being inefficient.

I'm going taiwan on the 15th for 3 week so it's good bye singapore. long time since i ever left spore already. maybe cos i'm sick of going to another country or the feeling tat i'm not coming back frightens me again.

Life is actually better in army i guess. i'm still kinda not prepared for studying. v. sianz to see all those texts n notes she's reading now, it's like i've totally got no mood for it now. dun mind serving 2 years to take my mind of those freaking ugly white piece of shit a.k.a. notes

Ee fai told me a childhood poem tat everyone knows but didn't realise it was actually a sad poem
Everybody knows it goes " Jack n jill went up the hill to fetch a pail of water."
Anyone knows wat's the later part ? ( come on la, surely u duno right dun act )
"Jack fell down broke his crown and Jill came tumbling down" (issit like tat, some how like tat la)
So u see, it's a sad poem. i didn't realise it at all. Ee fai's been going ard surveying ppl about the poem . guess army really make ppl become screwed.

Anyway, these few days , my sergents have been preparing for army open house ( AOH),
My vehicle the almighty singaporean made Bionix is out there for a joy ride. i don't know why the newspaper have to booast that it's spore made. the fact is tat it's a copied design from other various vehicles. The M113 is also there. tat's wat ee fai is learning. btw, those sticky tag papers u've got in AOH ( if u happen to be there), dun throw it away. we spent one bloody night pasting double sided tape on 10000 of those shits.

Realise that i've not been bloggin but got no time. no time ! army is infecting every part of my brain. i sleep army, smell army, taste army, feel army, eat army, see army arghhhhh.

oh yes, in BMT there's the 7 core values for water parades. now it's principle of war + 7 core values. just makes the whole water parade freaking long. we hands tire out before we can even drink up.
