Singaporean local tv production is gone case

Chinese programmes on channel 8 are so damn disgusting. i hope they remove it from scv channel 3, sack all their chinese stars , give the better ones english tuition to transfer them to channel 5. at least channel 5 programmes are of some class.

And the recent news about 萬梓良is damn funny. The straits time Life photo of him yesterday was hilarious ! looks like an alien. kudos to him i believe the loudmouth quan yifeng had it coming. one of the few reasons channel 8 is full of shit is becos of loudmouths like bryan wong n her.

meanwhile i still have exciting taiwan politics on channel 52 to satisfy my appetite for chinese drama

Tailgating
I had the most terrifying and hilarous cab drivers today. In the morning, i woke up at 9.30 for school that is suppose to start at 10 am. By the time i got ready and everything , i was at the taxi stand at 9.50. I got on this cab ( a rather old looking one) and was shock to see the driver's head barely on level with the steering wheel. HAHA. No offense , but this is seriously DAMN FUNNY. I mean how does LTA allow such drivers ? isnt it actually a bit dangerous ?Hmm .. I seem to have a liking now to laugh at other people and i guess its only natural for people to poke fun at me. But Hey i dun mind.
Speaking about dangerous drivers, at night, i got onto a cab only to have my heart in my mouth afterwards. The driver is NUTS ! weaving in and out of the outer lane in middle lane. Keeping less than 1m away from the car in front ( i bet if the car in front were to brake for 1 sec, the cab will defintely kiss his car ass goodbye). What's more, this HOOLIGAN STYLE driver keep shining high beam at cars in front.

What's on your itunes ?

Song of the month : Mr brightside , absolutely love it

Mr Brightside
Trying to be someone who respects intellectual property rights, i went soundbuzz to download music from THE KILLERS album. I read from the papers that soundbuzz is one of the first online music stores to offer legal music download. BUT, they did not freaking specify it was WMA format. good job, the songs are copyrighted, encrypted , cannot be played on itunes. and on their FAQ site, they say that you will have to burn the wmas into CDR then rip it to itunes in order to play it . Sux isnt it ? waste 1 CDR for this kinda shit. AND, to make things BRIGHTER, i cant play the freaking wma on my N73.
Irony of it, i downloaded Mr Brightside from them. There is no brightside to this downloading music business in Singapore.

Kind of thing my gf will say

"you are a bigger fan of wilfred than you are of me, im gonna break up with you now"

-Candy Gian, 4th yr NUS Bizad

i think i like to quote ppl now
Kind of the boring stuff engineers discuss about

I think we are entering a subject of philosophical contention. How do humans "perceive" sounds? What do we actually mean by "perceive"? Who else can perceive? Animals? Robots? Living tissues and cells?
However, as far as we define "perceive" as the signal received by the brain from the ear; ie the output from the ear entering the brain as input, preception can be said to be in frequency domain. Time varying frequency domain? Yes I guess so, though it sounds pretty much like an oxymoron.
We always like to think that the brain is a rather random and non-linear system. How then can the brain perform the fourier transform, which entails "numerical methods" of integration and "digital calculations"? Why? It doesn't have to! As put forth by Antonia, the human ear is capable of performing the fourier transform by mechanical means. Then the next question - how can physical objects inanimate as hair cells in delicate ears do such intricate mathematical calculations? Does it like mathematics so much? Does it even like anything? Can it?
Take a capacitor for example. The voltage across it is always proportional to the time integral of the current through it. We won't think a capacitor, dead as it is, is capable of doing mathematics. It doesn't even want to do anything. It can't want anything. Yet, it nicely yields an output that we can model mathematically.
So now we know, we intelligent humans are actually modelling the physical world with a humanistic tool called mathematics. The converse statement, having the whole world to obey rules dictated by humanistic mathematics, is barely thinkable. Or perceptible. Which leads back to our first question - what do we actually mean by "perceive"?

I want to be a MUGGER all my life - quote from Wilfred Lim, 2nd yr Electrical Engineer
