so now i'm offically posted to ... drumrolls...... 430 SAR. good job SAF for changing my vehicle platform AGAIN , they BLOODY HELL WANT ME TO LEARN EVERY SINGLE ARMOURED VEHICLE IS IT. SO SHOULDNT I GET THE TITLE OF THE MOST KNOWLEDGABLE VC ?
On the brighter side, it turns out that i'm still with mr cai and lion aw . jinyuan and aw has been in the same company / platoon / section with me since BMT . now i'm gonna see him as well in my 10 yrs ICT. it was absolutely fantastic seeing everyone from SOA platoon 6 . jinyuan drove around Gedong today and i managed to see our old bunks, the 46 cookhouse, SOA vehicle shed. All those places where we literally shed tears and blood. tears from SOC ( 9:30 !), blood from the cuts when we fix the vehicles.
it's highly sentimental and i cant seem to forget those 5 months . heaven and hell is separated by a fine line over there. one day you can feel tat you're on cloud 9 when lobo-ing then when shit hits you left right center , the feeling ..... is FUCK ( joseph that bitch).
it's still memorable trip, more coming my way next june. woohoo 1st ICT

Chinese programmes on channel 8 are so damn disgusting. i hope they remove it from scv channel 3, sack all their chinese stars , give the better ones english tuition to transfer them to channel 5. at least channel 5 programmes are of some class.
And the recent news about 萬梓良is damn funny. The straits time Life photo of him yesterday was hilarious ! looks like an alien. kudos to him i believe the loudmouth quan yifeng had it coming. one of the few reasons channel 8 is full of shit is becos of loudmouths like bryan wong n her.
meanwhile i still have exciting taiwan politics on channel 52 to satisfy my appetite for chinese drama

I think we are entering a subject of philosophical contention. How do humans "perceive" sounds? What do we actually mean by "perceive"? Who else can perceive? Animals? Robots? Living tissues and cells?
However, as far as we define "perceive" as the signal received by the brain from the ear; ie the output from the ear entering the brain as input, preception can be said to be in frequency domain. Time varying frequency domain? Yes I guess so, though it sounds pretty much like an oxymoron.
We always like to think that the brain is a rather random and non-linear system. How then can the brain perform the fourier transform, which entails "numerical methods" of integration and "digital calculations"? Why? It doesn't have to! As put forth by Antonia, the human ear is capable of performing the fourier transform by mechanical means. Then the next question - how can physical objects inanimate as hair cells in delicate ears do such intricate mathematical calculations? Does it like mathematics so much? Does it even like anything? Can it?
Take a capacitor for example. The voltage across it is always proportional to the time integral of the current through it. We won't think a capacitor, dead as it is, is capable of doing mathematics. It doesn't even want to do anything. It can't want anything. Yet, it nicely yields an output that we can model mathematically.
So now we know, we intelligent humans are actually modelling the physical world with a humanistic tool called mathematics. The converse statement, having the whole world to obey rules dictated by humanistic mathematics, is barely thinkable. Or perceptible. Which leads back to our first question - what do we actually mean by "perceive"?
